Scan Mode

As a frequently mentioned professional terms, “scan mode”, also called as “driving method”. For example of 1/4 driving led display , you could simply imagine that at one moment, only 1/4 of the LEDs are driven on by the driving IC. Certainly it’s hard to sense it by human eyes, but the professional cameras, when we set which at very high shutter speed, it is possible to capture it. The exist of scan mode 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 etc is reasonable, because sometimes we don’t need very high brightness, very high refresh frequency, and sometimes we need to reduce the power consumption as well as the cost.

Grey Scale

In colour science, grayscale is a range of shades of grey without apparent colour . The darkest possible shade is black and the lightest possible shade is white. . The grayscale intensity has 256 shades of gray from black to white. As all colors comes from RGB primary colors, that means the highest grayscale of a full color image is 24bits ( 256 x 256 x 256). So for LED display products, when it gets higher gray scale, the color is more rich and vivid.

IP Rating

What does IP stands for?

IP is an acronym “Ingress Protection”. It is a measurement of the protection an item will have against solid objects (dust, sand, dirt, etc.) and liquids.

An IP rating is comprised of 2 numbers. The first number refers to the protection against solid objects (dust, etc) and the second number refers to protection against liquids.

Our all outdoor led Panels are IP67 rating which means that its Dust proof and Protection against water .

The indoor led Panels are IP 54 Rating which means that Dust and water splashing from any angle.

Pixel Pitch

Pixel pitch refers to the distance between the centre of one LED
(light-emitting diode) to the centre of the adjacent LED on an LED video panel or display. It is measured in millimetres (mm) and indicates the density of pixels on the display. A smaller pixel pitch means there is less distance between pixels, resulting in higher pixel density and potentially higher image resolution.

The notation “P10”, “P6”, “P5”, “P4”, “P3”, “P2.5”, “P2”, “P1.5” etc., specifies the pixel pitch of LED displays, with smaller numbers indicating higher pixel density and finer resolution. The choice of pixel pitch depends on factors such as viewing distance, image clarity requirements, and the intended application of the LED display.

Indoor and Outdoor Led Screen

Indoor and outdoor LED screens have distinct features tailored to their specific environments, including differences in brightness, weather resistance, pixel pitch, cooling systems, protection from environmental factors, installation methods, and cost. It’s essential to consider these differences when selecting LED screens for different applications to ensure optimal performance and durability.

Software

There are two mainly used software which are NOVASTAR and
HUIDU .

The Novastar softwares are NovaLCT-Mars , NovaStudio,
NovaLCT-Pluto, NovaLCT-Venice, NovaCloud and
NovaPlutoManager.

The software of HUIDU are HDPlayer , HDSet , HDSign, HDShow and HD2020
